Abe Cohen is the CEO of Conway Capital, focusing on Value add opportunities in the mixed-use and residential sector in New York City and Brooklyn. Abe comes from a long line age of Retail experts. Specifically Abe’s Grandfather and Great Uncle, Abe and David Cohen founded the retail chain Conway Stores in 1946.
Abe’s father, Ricky Cohen took over the chain in 1981 and helped grow the annual revenue from $4,500,000 to $174,000,000 with over 40 stores across NYC and the five boroughs. Most recently, Conway grew the annual revenue to $230,000,000 and sold the company to National Stores (from the West Coast).
Since taking over Conway Capital, Abe’s projects include: 245‐247 & 251‐253 West 34th Street; 1635 Market Street Philadelphia; 2952‐2970 3rd Avenue Bronx, 101 Stanton Street Manhattan, 174 Hester Street Manhattan, 230 President Street Brooklyn, 87 East 4th Street in prime East Village and the Chinatown Portfolio.
